LARC participated in Winter Field Day with great success. We had excellent participation and involvement from the membership, their families and a number of guests who came out to observe and join in the event.

We operated three station and made a number of contacts on phone, cw and digital modes on a variety of bands. Several guests got on the air under the supervision of a club member.

Members also did maintenance on the club radio shack, their own equipment and we worked on the new Tri-mode Winlink Mode that is going in service soon.

On Saturday evening everyone still at the clubhouse chipped in and we bought brats, hotdogs and hamburgers, chips and with soft drinks and water at the clubhouse had a feast of a picnic. Dennis Howard grilled and everyone enjoyed a great end to a really fun and productive day.

On Sunday we came back for a few hours, made a few more contacts and had a chance to talk about what we wanted from the club for the next few months. You will be hearing more about that soon!

Thanks to everyone who came out and participated. Without you we could not have and enjoy events such as this.
