Application Criminal History Disqualifiers
Instructions
  • All applicants, whether new or those renewing their applications, must submit the Criminal History Disqualifiers List (Disqualifier List) with their application.
  • Applicants must review the (Disqualifier List) prior to submitting their application. If any of the Disqualifiers apply, they should not submit a RACES application. If none of the Disqualifiers apply, they will sign the (Disqualifier List) and submit it with their RACES application. Once the (DRO / RRO) has received a complete package and completed their local processing / screening, they will submit the complete package to TDEM. Packages can be mailed to:

Scanned applications can be emailed to soc2@dps.texas.gov. Please do not fax applications in.

  • All applicants (new or renewals) will include their signed (Disqualifier List) with their RACES application. If Disqualifiers are found during the Criminal Background check, the application will be rejected. Failure to include the (Disqualifier List) with their RACES application will delay the processing of the application.
