As social distancing is implemented more and more across the nation and the world, communication networks will be increasingly taxed as peoples usage increases.

Amateur Radio Operators have a reliable and unique ability to communicate with almost limitless possibilities  without relying on the internet or phone networks.

There is no better time than now to dust off that radio and get on the air!  Lubbock Amateur Radio Club will be hosting a 70cm net on Tuedays at 7:00 PM.  The net will be uncontrolled and open to any licensed operators.  The K5LIB 70cm repeater is located atop the Lubbock County Courthouse Annex Building and operates on 443.075 MHz, it has an offset of +5 MHz, and a Continuous Tone-Coded Squelch System (CTCSS) Tone of 88.5 Hz.  Come join us on the air for what may be the biggest social gathering in Lubbock.
